Once you taste this creamy strawberry yogurt smoothie, it may quickly become one of your favorites. It’s become one of our go-to healthy snacks. My kids don’t love to eat yogurt on its own, but they will happily sip this smoothie.  Serve it in a glass, or pour it into a bowl and enjoy it with a spoon and your favorite toppings. It’s an easy way to squeeze more vitamins and antioxidants into your day!

Ingredients You’ll Need

We make this recipe most often with vanilla yogurt because that’s what my kids are willing to eat. If you prefer to use Greek yogurt, you’ll get more protein in each sip! (Add a drizzle of sweetener, like honey or maple syrup, if you need it.) Paired with frozen strawberries and bananas plus some flaxseed for extra fiber, this smoothie tastes amazing. But it’s also easy to customize!  Use frozen blueberries, raspberries, peaches, mixed berries, pineapple, or mango for a different fruity flavor. You can also replace some of the milk with orange juice or other fruit juice for extra sweetness.

How to Make a Yogurt Smoothie

In a high-speed blender, add the yogurt, strawberries, banana slices, ground flaxseed, and milk. Secure the lid and blend until smooth. When there are no visible chunks, taste the smoothie and make any adjustments as needed. You can add a drizzle of honey if you need a sweeter drink, or add some ice if you’d like a slushy texture.  Serve this strawberry yogurt smoothie right away for the best flavor and texture. If you have leftovers, pour them into a popsicle mold and store them in the freezer for a frozen treat in the future.  Looking for more smoothie recipes?
