It’s time for a recipe so easy you won’t believe you didn’t think of it yourself! I’m also obsessed with how delicious these noodles turned out. Tossed with lots of aromatic sesame oil, seeds, fresh ginger, garlic, peanut butter, and more! I can’t get enough of them. Sometimes you need a quick side to accompany dinner, or you might even just want an easy pot of noodles to enjoy as a meal on their own. Throw out those salty “flavor” packets from your packages of ramen and let the noodles shine in this recipe.

Ingredients

Ramen noodles – Any type of noodles will. Soy sauce – I used a low sodium soy sauce plus a dark soy sauce. I usually like to add dark soy sauce to give the noodles a bit of darker color, so if you don’t have it, just replace it with regular soy sauce. Rice vinegar – Also known as rice wine vinegar. Mirin can be used instead. Sesame oil – If you can find toasted sesame oil, grab it! Garlic – Use more or less as you like. Chili garlic sauce – Also known as sambal oelek. Sriracha can be used instead. Ginger – Fresh is best. Peanut butter – Smooth or crunchy. Up to you! Garnish – Green onions, sesame seeds, and peanuts.

How to make sesame noodles

What to serve with sesame noodles

Try a simple protein:

Spicy Honey Garlic Chicken Korean Fried Chicken Easy Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry Bulgogi Pork Baked Thai Salmon

Or some veggies:

Skillet Green Beans Oven Roasted Carrots Roasted Brussels Sprouts Garlic Butter Mushrooms Crunchy Asian Salad

How to store leftovers

Leftovers will last, stored in an airtight container, for up to 4 days. Reheat in the microwave or in a skillet on the stovetop. If you use a skillet, feel free to add a splash or chicken or veggie broth to make sure the noodles don’t dry out.

Can I freeze sesame noodles?

Since this recipe is so quick to throw together, I don’t recommend freezing the noodles. When they freeze and thaw, the texture of cooked noodles ends up being quite soft and mushy. If you do choose to freeze your noodles, store them in an airtight container and they’ll last 1-2 months. Let the noodles thaw slowly in the fridge overnight before reheating them.
