How to make dehydrated minced garlic
We’ve all seen dehydrated onion in the store, but what about garlic? This is the one ingredient in the recipe that can be difficult to find. You know what’s abundant no matter where you are? Fresh garlic! So, where there’s a problem, there’s a solution. You can follow these steps in your oven if the temperature is able to be set as low as 140F.
Storage
Make sure to store this blend in a jar with a twist-to-seal lid. The seeds tend to stale if exposed to air, so we want to make sure your delicious seasoning is airtight. Store in a cool, dark place such as your pantry or spice drawer. Since we’re dealing with seeds rather than just spices, this seasoning will last you 6-12 months. It won’t go bad, necessarily, it will just become stale. Make sure the jar you’re storing the seasoning in has completely dried if you’ve recently washed it. You can leave it upside down in your drying rack for a good 20 minutes to be extra cautious.
