This makes a great breakfast smoothie because it gives me a nice jolt of energy. With a 10-month old baby that still wakes up a couple times a night, I’ll take all the energy I can get! This blueberry pear smoothie also packs alot of protein so it keeps my energy levels up. Super healthy, easy (with 4 ingredients) and so tasty! We down the most smoothies in winter because fruit is much more reasonable in the freezer isle and we otherwise would not consume nearly as much fruit in the cold months. Smoothies also help us feel better about our”eat healthier” new year’s resolutions ;).

Blueberry Pear Smoothie Ingredients:

1/2 cup cold water 1 1/2 cups plain Greek yogurt (whole fat, low fat or fat free work great) 1-2 Tbsp honey or agave, or to taste 1 pear, quartered and seeded 2 cups frozen blueberries

What you will need:

A Blender (here’s the one I use)

How to make this Blueberry Pear Smoothie:

  1. In the bowl of a good blender (I would highly recommend this one), combine all of your ingredients in the order listed and blend until smooth. Done.
