The Best Banana Nutella Stuffed Waffles
Sometimes, all you need is a little decadence to start your day off right, and my Banana Nutella Stuffed Waffles are just the ticket. Recently, hubs bought this Presto Stuffed Waffle Maker because he’s seen it on TikTok or Instagram somewhere and had to try it. What can I say, I’m sold, I absolutely love it and had to share it with you. I can pack these beauties with generous dollops of Nutella and slices of ripe banana, ensuring each waffle is brimming with gooey goodness. But that’s just a start, you can make savory waffles too and stuff them with ham and cheese or whatever you wish. So let me show you how it’s done. Start by whisking together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Now, add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil and vanilla extract and mix until everything is well combined. Heat up your waffle maker. Also, make sure to read the manual for specific instructions on how to clean it and how to use it. Pour about a third of a cup of batter into the waffle maker, making sure to cover the bottom grids and the waffle divider thinly but completely. Next, add a few slices of banana and a generous dollop of Nutella in the center, taking care not to get too close to the edges. Top with more batter, ensuring the fillings are nicely covered. Close your waffle maker and, if yours has this feature, give it a flip. If it does, it’s very important to give it a flip, otherwise it won’t brown nicely on one side. Let the waffles cook for about 7 to 8 minutes or until they’re golden and crispy. Carefully remove the waffle from the maker and let it cool slightly on a rack. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Serve these however you like. I love a drizzle of chocolate syrup or maple syrup and dusted with a bit of powdered sugar, so good!
Storage
For storing these Banana Nutella Stuffed Waffles, let them cool completely and then place them in an airtight container; they’ll keep in the fridge for up to 5 days. To freeze, wrap each waffle individually in plastic wrap and then place them in a freezer-safe bag; they can be frozen for up to 3 months. To reheat, just toast them straight from the freezer until they’re warm and crispy.
