This almond milk slushie is my solution for evenings when I want a cold and creamy treat, without consuming something that’s too dense or difficult on my digestive system. It’s light and sweet, and tastes similar to vanilla ice cream, while remaining dairy-free! It’s also incredibly easy to make. In less than 5 minutes, you could be enjoying a glass yourself! — Almond Milk Slushie (Vegan) serves 1 Ingredients: 1 cup chilled almond milk 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 5-6 ice cubes Directions: Combine all of the ingredients in a high-speed blender, and blend until a uniform slushie-like texture is achieved. Add more ice, if a thicker texture is desired, keeping in mind that additional ice will dilute the sweet vanilla flavor. (You can always add more maple syrup and vanilla, if you like.) Pour into a large glass and enjoy with a spoon or a straw!

Note: If you don’t care for almond milk, you can substitute any other type of milk that you like. For a sugar-free version, you can also use liquid stevia, instead of the maple syrup, to taste. Enjoy! — Reader Feedback: What’s your favorite go-to treat?
